Firemen in traditional costumes demonstrated the good old firefighting spirit of the Edo Period through presentations of a ladder stunt, kiyari-uta work song and matoi flag waving. These traditional practices of Edo were collectively designated as an intangible folk culture asset of Tokyo, and are presented at friendly exchange gatherings with people from other countries. Performances of traditional Japanese musical instruments such as the sho flute and shamisen guitar were also staged, highlighting the beauty of Japanese traditional performing arts.Period ;Organised by;Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Tokyo Metropolitan Edo-Tokyo Museum and Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre July to September 2021 (Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture) 東京2020大会を盛り上げるため、東京都の文化拠点を活用した様々な伝統芸能公演を実施しました。江戸火消しの梯子乗りや、木遣（きやり）歌、纏（まとい）振りは、江戸時代の町火消の心意気を伝えるものとして公演しました。これらは、江戸の伝統的な技として東京都無形民俗文化財に指定され、諸外国との親善交流の場でも披露されているものです。そのほか、日本の文化を彩る日本の楽器、笙や三味線などによる演奏も行い、日本の伝統芸能の素晴らしさを発信しました。開催期間：2021年7月〜9月主催 ：東京都、公益財団法人東京都歴史文化財団 東京都江戸東京博物館・東京芸術劇場122伝統芸能ショーケースTraditional performing art showcase
