2413 Exhibit at the Olympic/Paralympic Village Plaza (Japan Culture Stadium)Exhibit of kado and kimono (Olympic/Paralympic Village)Furoshiki displays and hands-on experience(Olympic/Paralympic Village)Exhibit at the Tokyo Media Center(Traditional Culture Corner)Along with overseas media representatives, athletes and all others associated with the Tokyo 2020 Games were provided with opportunities to experience traditional Japanese culture and performing arts at the Olympic/Paralympic Village and the Tokyo Media Center. A readily comprehensible display of flower arrangements, tea ceremony tools, kimono, dolls, suits of armour and other traditional items created a quintessential Japanese ambience, and videos were screened to give visitors a sense of experiencing kado, sado and other traditional Japanese culture. Many athletes also tried their hands at creating an eco-friendly bag from a furoshiki wrapping cloth. In addition, mini performances of Noh theatre and koto (string instrument) were staged.
