1 「オペラ夏の祭典2019-20 Japan↔Tokyo↔World」は、東京2020大会を契機として、世界で活躍するアーティストが集結し、共にオペラを創り上げる一大プロジェクト。世界的指揮者である大野和士による総合プロデュースのもと、東京文化会館と新国立劇場が初めて共同制作し、日本を代表する各地の劇場と連携して展開しました。 2019年はアジア(中国)が舞台となる『トゥーランドット』を上演。バルセロナオリンピック開会式の演出を手がけたアレックス・オリエの演出と24年ぶりに来日したバルセロナ交響楽団の演奏が祭典を大いに盛り上げました。2020年は東京都交響楽団がピットに入り、祝祭感溢れる大作『ニュルンベルクのマイスタージンガー』を海外の劇場と連携して上演する予定でしたが、新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響により、日本での公演が中止。翌年度も東京文化会館の公演は中止となりました。 『トゥーランドット』公演では3日間で約6500名の方が来場。その他にも4年にわたるプロジェクトの中で、東京駅前のＫＩＴＴＥ等における無料イベントの開催や、鉄道事業者と連携した発車メロディー企画等の取組を通して、多くの方にオペラに触れていただく機会を創出することができました。 The Summer Festival Opera 2019-20 Japan↔Tokyo↔World is a major project that brings together artists from around the world to create an opera in line with the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. A first-time co-production of Tokyo Bunka Kaikan and the New National Theatre,Tokyo, led by the internationally renowned conductor ONO Kazushi as the general producer, the event was held in collaboration with theatres in various cities representing Japan. In 2019, a performance of “Turandot,” which is set in Asia (China), was held. It was a new production created by Àlex OLLÉ, who directed the opening ceremony at the Olympic Games Barcelona 1992 and performed by the Barcelona Symphony and Catalonia National Orchestra, which came to Japan for the first time in 24 years. The performance generated a great deal of excitement around the festival. In 2020, a performance of “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg,” a masterpiece with a festive feeling, was scheduled to be performed in collaboration with overseas theatres with the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra in the pit, but the performance in Japan was cancelled due to COVID-19. The performance scheduled to be held at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan the following year was also cancelled. Approximately 6,500 people attended the performance of “Turandot” over the course of three days.
